Boyd Lake Ave 15th St Roundabout

J-2 Contracting constructed the Boyd Lake Ave.& 15th St. Roundabout and Pedestrian Underpass for the Centerra Metro District in conjunction with the City of Loveland, CO. This project consisted of a new storm sewer system, multiple wet & dry utility relocations, construction of a double-cell box culvert, concrete roundabout, concrete curb/gutter/sidewalk/trail, and asphalt paving on Boyd Lake Ave. & 15th St. in Loveland, CO. The construction of the double-cell cast-in-place box culvert allows irrigation flows from the GLIC ditch to cross Boyd Lake Ave. in the northern cell while creating a pedestrian underpass in the southern cell.

Significant dewatering and bypass ditch flows were required during construction. J-2 met the challenge and kept the project proceeding on time and within budget. The project was deemed a huge success by the owner, city, designers and local community as it provides safe pedestrian connectivity from west of Boyd Lake Ave. to the Shops at Centerra while simultaneously reducing traffic congestion on Boyd Lake Ave.
