Traverse Park

J-2 Contracting was selected by the City of Fort Collins as their CMGC partner to assist with design completion, value engineering, permitting, procurement, GMP cost estimation, and construction of the Traverse Neighborhood Park in Fort Collins, CO. Thru the collective efforts we were able to realize over $200K worth of value engineering savings, allowing the project to move forward. After the initial GMP was established, the project was put on hold due to COVID. Once the project was reinstated J-2 went to work to obtain new material/subcontractor pricing and refresh the GMP. The construction of the park was smooth from start to finish with the project coming in under budget. Constructed features of the park include a custom restroom, custom shelter, multiple playgrounds, prestressed concrete basketball court, pump track, concrete trail, irrigation and landscaping. The Traverse Park has become a central meeting place for the surrounding community where they can relax and recreate.
